The port area of ​​Hoorn covers four ports with a total of more than 1,000 berths. In addition to the municipal Binnenhaven and Buitenhaven, there are the Grashaven and the Vluchthaven. The Binnenhaven is the most modern, but also the most nostalgic. The VOC ships used to depart from here. Around this harbor are many stately 17th-century cheese warehouses and merchant houses. There are a number of charter companies where you can rent a boat for a few hours or even a few days.
