Have a lot of fun

A fair takes place in Hoorn every year. The Hoorn Fair starts on the Saturday preceding the second Monday of August and lasts until the third Monday of that month. It is, after Tilburg, the second largest fair in the Netherlands and dates back to around 1450. On average, there are 70 attractions and tens of thousands of people visit the fair.

In 2024, the fair will take place from Saturday 10 to Monday 19 August. The Fair always ends with the traditional Lappendag. This year there will again be many traditional attractions such as the Camel Race, grab cranes and pushers, but of course also various spectacular attractions such as the Bon Voyage Ferris wheel, the Power Surge and the Airborne. Special events such as the low-stimulus fair, the seniors’ afternoon, Pink Monday and the women’s evening are also included.
